3 must have plugins that will improve your website!

So for starters what is WordPress?

WordPress is a free and open-source content management system (CMS) written in PHP[4] and paired with a MySQL or MariaDB database.

The best analogy to better explain this is “WordPress is a factory that makes webpages.” I am going to share with you some of the best plugins to use with WordPress! Hopefully, this will give you a clearer understanding as to why it is the most popular content management system (CMS) in the world! WordPress is literally Kong!

There are over 50k WordPress plugins that are kept up to date! Since WordPress is open source code, anyone can create and sell a plugin or make it available for free. This also attracts WordPress designers and developers from all around the world. With so tons of options, finding the best plugins for your WordPress site can be tough. So here are 3 of my favorite must haves!

Yoast SEO

Yoast SEO is a search engine optimization plug-in for WordPress. The plugin has five million active installations and has been downloaded more than 310 million times.

Optimizing your content for search engines is essential for getting traffic to your site. Yoast SEO is extremly helpful in optimizing every aspect of your site for search ability. Yoast SEO is most famous for its green, orange, and red bullets, giving you feedback on the SEO friendliness of your content. It automatically grades content for keywords and metadata and tags areas for improvement. Ridiculously efficient and functional, Yoast is available from the WordPress plugin directory as a free plugin with a premium version for more features.

Smush

Images can bog down your site by taking up storages and causing slow load times. Smush meticulously scans every image on your server trims all the unnecessary data and scales it for you before adding it to your media library!

While other image compression tools can destroy images with as much as a 30% loss in quality, Smush effectively strips hidden bulky information from your images and reduce file size without affecting the appearance.

Literally it trims the fat from your images to ensure maximum performance for your website.

WooCommerce

WooCommerce was created by two developers, Mike Jolley and James Koster.

It is one of the most popular eCommerce solutions in the world. This plugin includes all the features you need to set up a full-service online store on your own WordPress site. WooCommerce is fully customizable with multiple themes and product page layouts, and it supports sales for both physical and digital products as well as affiliate marketing. You can get started using WooCommerce in either its free or premium version from WordPress.

It provides tons of flexibility and several important features such as inventory and tax management, secure payments, and shipping integration.

Developers love WooCommerce for several reasons. The best among them is how relatively easy it is to install and configure. As a developer, this makes the profitability of developing e-commerce sites skyrocket!
